It was all ... Accidental

Hey there,

Allow me to walk you through a long drab introduction of mine.

I am Abhijeet Mishra, I am a proud Indian, an amateur cook, absolute F1 Fanatic, a dreamer maybe and a foodie for sure.
As of today, I am an Erasmus Mundus Scholar at Universiteit Gent, Belgium where I am doing my post graduation (MS) in Rural Economics and Management.

Getting on to the point,
This blog would be dedicated to all the cooking experiments I do here in Belgium, with a mix of Indo-Belg ingredients in traditional Indian cuisines. I reckon you'll all love it.

Its the first time I'm writing a blog and just like all other bloggers I'm way too excited to share my experiments with cooking.
It had all started way back in 2011 when I met with an accident in Bangalore, India. Had fractured my leg and I was bed ridden for four weeks straight. That's when this whole Idea of cooking popped up in my head and I decided that I'll be a closet cook someday.

Three years down the line, I have learned a wide variety of Indian dishes which I intend to share on this blog.

For me, cooking is something which gives you peace, pumps up your thinking process and gives you a sense of confidence when you are having a bad day.

If the food you prepare brings smile on somebody's face then consider yourself lucky. I can proudly say that I have made a lot of people smile in these three years and I cannot fathom the number of people who are going to smile because of me in the future (Because of the food of course).

When you slice a tomato, Its like painting the red paint
When you stir milk, its like mixing the colors
When you knead the dough, its like preparing clay
When you garnish the plate, its like giving final touch to the art
Art isn't always about music and painting, for me, its cooking.

I don't have any of the flamboyant and sophisticated cooking equipments here at my disposal so all the recipes I share are made using stuff which is available to a common bachelor staying away from home.

Sneak Peak from "THAT Indian Cook's" Kitchen :
Looks Yum, Tastes Even Better (Individual Recipes Coming Soon)
This was the first full fledged meal I prepared after coming to Ghent and hence its really close to my heart.
Clock wise from upper left : Matar Paneer (Peas-Cottage Cheese), Masoor Dal (Indian Lentils), Omlette, Plain Rice (Basmati).

Stay tuned for some delicious Indian recipes with a tinge of madness.
Happy cooking :)
